How it Works

Members are able to use their Whip vehicles to drive for most rideshare and delivery services by following these steps.

1. Member submits an application. See more about Applying for Whip and our Eligibility Requirements.

2. Once a member is approved, they will be assigned a vehicle based on available inventory in the market they are renting in.

3. Invoices for the security deposit and the first weekly fee will be assessed and sent to the member for payment via ChargeOver. Both invoices must be paid in full before the member can pick up the vehicle. See more about Paying for Whip.

4. Once at the pick up location, the member will inspect the vehicle and undergo a New Member Orientation if it is their first time renting. The Whip team will also help add the vehicle documents to any rideshare or delivery apps that the member wants to drive for. See more about Picking up a Whip.

5. For rentals lasting for longer than 60 days or 10,000 miles, members will set up recurring service appointments to ensure the quality of their vehicle. See more about maintaining a Whip and our Maintenance Policy.

6. When the member is finished with renting, they can drop off their Whip at any time, there are no long-term commitments!
